Theme 4: Engaging our Students
Brief outline:
Part one: Students' Union President, Liam Preston,
invites academic staff to discuss the role of the Students'
Union, its engagement with the student body and the prospects
for the future of the Students' Union. The President gives
an insight into the work of the Union, its successes in recent
years and the development of its involvement with the student
experience.
Part two: New permanent staff member, Ellie Coker,
discusses the nature of Student Representation at Canterbury
Christ Church University, the Students' Union vision for the
future of representation and the recent developments in the
Representational Structure of the University. Academic
staff are invited to this informative and engaging debate on the
use of Student Representatives within programmes, the support
and guidance offered by the Students' Union and the new SSL
guidelines to be introduced by the University.
