Personal Development Planning (PDP)
Brief outline:
All HE institutions are expected to provide each student with:
- a transcript - a record of their learning & achievement
- a means by which they can monitor, build and reflect upon
their personal
development.
This course aims to support you working with your students by developing an understanding of personal development planning, the role of academics in supporting students with PDP and the rationale behind the drive in HE for students to engage with this activity.
What you can expect to learn:
- Some models of supporting PDP in HE
- Research evidence on the effectiveness of PDP
- The Canterbury Christ Church University approach to PDP including the PROGRESS recording system and graduate skills
- Personal, departmental and Faculty implications of PDP provison.
