Making the Most of your Department Budget

Essential for all department staff who are monitoring department budgets and/or wishing to support departments stretch non-pay budgets in a more cost effective way.

Brief outline:

In the current financial climate stretching your department’s budget as far as it will go is becoming increasingly important. This is a practical session to share ideas on:

  • Best purchasing practice – doing more with less (for spend under £10,000)

  • How to reduce costs but maintain quality

  • Useful resources, contacts and approaches that can save money & time

 

The course is designed to help departments save money on everyday purchases, not necessarily on large contracts.
