How do I book a place on an event?

Just complete the online booking form and click on submit. We will then process your booking and if there are no queries or problems, contact you approximately 5-7 working days before the event with your joining instructions.

Do I need approval to attend an event?

You do need to discuss with your line manager/supervisor your wish to attend events. It is good practice to discuss all aspects of your CPD with your manager and to agree your aims and objectives for attending.

What if I book a place and am then unable to attend?

Once you have booked a place on an event, the facilitator will organise the resources, catering and possible group work with your attendance in mind. It would therefore be helpful if you would cancel or postpone your place as soon as you can, and at least 24 hours before the event is due to take place.

Is training just about attending courses?

No. training, learning & development can take place in many ways e.g. on the job; job shadowing; mentoring; 1:1 coaching; brainstorming with colleagues, reading; joining professional associations; away days; networking - are just a few examples. We are also able to design tailor made events for faculties/departments/teams where appropriate.
