Toward 2015:
Implementing the University Strategic Goals 2011 - 2015

This year's annual staff conference Towards 2015: Implementing the University's Strategic Goals was a huge success and formed the basis of the launch of the strategic plan 2011 - 2015.

Attended by over 200 staff from across the University, the conference was opened by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Robin Baker who took this opportunity to thank Dr Keith Gwilym, Ms Hazel Colyer and Professor Gioia Pescetto for their contributions to the University and to wish them farewell.

The conference focused on a number of key themes for the University including the change programme delivered by Moira Helm, Director of Change and a presentation on Next Steps: Maintaining the Dialogue delivered by David Smith, Pro Vice-Chancellor (External Relations).

There was an opportunity for staff to work in groups to input on how they saw success resonating for the University at the mid and end point of the plan for staff, students and stakeholders in addition to identifying what opportunities the plan presents for the University.

The afternoon finished with award presentations from Kent Police for the University's participation in the Special Constable Scheme, the Michael Wright prize and the Teaching Excellence Awards.

The presentation from the event can be found here.
