Exclusive rates at Polo Farm
Polo Farm Sports Club in Canterbury is one of the premier centres of sports development and achievement in the south-east and the University is proud to work in partnership with Polo Farm to offer exclusive memberships rates for students and staff.
Hockey
Hockey is the longest established sport at Polo Farm and we have a remarkable record of achievement. Both the men’s and the ladies clubs have enjoyed national success and there are international and recreational players within the ranks.
We run 15 teams and have an extensive junior coaching programme with younger players going on to national junior championships and joining the senior teams at Polo Farm.
We look forward to welcoming more players to our teams and encourage you to take a trip to see us and watch a hockey match, view a training session or have a drink with our players.

Tennis
Yes we are a traditional tennis club and yes we do have some veteran champions, but we are not stuffy and many of us are young in spirit as well as in body. Contact us and we will invite you along to a mix-in session so that you can try out our floodlit astro courts, meet new people and see our superb indoor tennis centre. If you are good and eager for match play, we will tip off the captains of our numerous teams playing in Kent leagues.
Use of outdoor courts is free and we run a ‘pay per hour’ system for indoor courts. There is no dress code but please only wear nonmarking shoes.

Cricket
Join one of our five cricket clubs and you will find members of all ages and abilities whether it be competitive league or recreational cricket on a Sunday afternoon. We also have a thriving junior section with Clubmark accreditation and Focus Club status from Kent Cricket Board.
Our splendid facilities including a new ground and two cricket squares are widely regarded as some of the best club facilities in Kent.
During the winter we turn our attention to the thrills and spills of indoor cricket where we have enjoyed considerable success including two visits to the National Finals. We also run indoor nets at the Kent Cricket Academy and training during the summer is free.

Croquet
As the most recent development at Polo Farm, croquet is becoming an increasingly popular choice. We currently have 40 members who, having made great progress in the Croquet Association and the South East England Federation League, have won the Security Shield competition.
We play two distinct types of croquet on a standard size 35 x 28 yard lawn of bowling green standard and welcome recreational and competitive players.
