Pensions
The University currently operates three final salary pension schemes. Eligibility to join varies from one to the other but broadly:-
- Support staff - Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) administered by KCC.
- Academic staff - Teachers Pension scheme (TPS) administered by Capita.
- Staff who are new to the University and were previously members of the University Superannuation Scheme (USS) - are eligible to continue their membership here. Membership of USS is not otherwise open to new members .

AVC's
You are able to pay AVC's (Additional Voluntary Contributions) to increase your benefits when you retire. Again, further information can be obtained from Human Resources.
