What are the benefits to Blackboard users?

There are a number of reasons why we are upgrading Blackboard that will benefit users, these include:

  1. The login box will be the same for all users. This means that all users will be required to supply their username and password before they can gain access to Blackboard irrespective if they are using Blackboard on or off campus.
  2. Users will no longer be required to type in cc\ before their username.

  3. Improved service and support for users of Windows Vista, Firefox and Office 2007.
  4. New look discussion board with extra features, such as receiving an e-mail alert when new messages have been posted.
  5. Virtual Classroom / Online Chat will be fixed.
