Our mission statement is "To work with all in the University community to deliver a positive working environment that supports an excellent student experience, enables and supports all staff to give of their best and which helps to secure a sustainable future for the University"

We aim to achieve our mission via provision of quality services, advice, information and support that are all developed in partnership with governors, managers, staff and unions and delivered in a way which is timely, efficient, relevant and appropriate.

We organise delivery of these services around:

  • People management strategy and policy, including reward and engagement
  • Resourcing - recruitment and selection services and administration
  • Staff Development provision and advice, including Investors in People and  Leadership & Management Development
  • Employee Relations support and advice, including change management
  • Workforce information and administration including data for payment of staff
