Services

The Sports Centre offers a number of services to assist in your fitness development.

Fitness assessments

Whether your training is sports specific, muscle building or a fat loss programme, our fitness assessment will help you reach your goals. The results of your fitness assessment will indicate any areas that need attention allowing for more specific fitness training.

We will measure your heart rate, blood pressure, stamina, strength, lung function, flexibility and body composition and analyse the results to provide you with a personalised exercise programme for a period of 12 to 16 weeks.

Exercise programme - CURRENTLY FREE

You will be met by an instructor to discuss your goals and the equipment you prefer. The instructor will then provide you with an in-depth look at specific exercises to suit your needs. This is an ideal opportunity for you to find out the best way of achieving your goals.

Personal training

A qualified instructor will accompany you throughout your exercise programme continuously monitoring your progress and offering you support and encouragement to meet your goals.

Exercise referral

Working in conjunction with Student, Support and Guidance, we offer advice and exercise programmes to help students and staff with a wide range of day to day issues including stress and anxiety. Students and staff are referred to the Sports Centre through the Student Support and Guidance team.

 

Physiotherapy

We are excited to offer a new service for our students and staff. Kevin a local Physiotherapist is available at the Sports Centre from 10.30am (first appointment) to 2pm (last appointment 1.30pm) Mondays and Thursdays. Booking is via the Sports Centre reception.
