Security and Transport
Security and Transport staff provide a wide range of services to the University and are responsible for the security and safety of it students, staff and visitors.
Security and Transport staff also manage and maintain a fleet of University vehicles which are available for University staff to book.
Other areas which the team are responsible for include;
- Training
- First Aid
- Major Incident & Emergency Situations
- CCTV and Access Control
- Graduation
- Events and Close Protection Team
- Keys
Security
Security staff provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors to the University.
University buildings, offices and teaching rooms are locked and unlocked at the start and end of every day and regular security patrols of the campus are made either on foot or by vehicle.
Security staff are on duty 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Security staff at the extended Canterbury Campus can be contacted via extension 2355, by contacting the University switchboard (01227 767700) who can radio for assistance, or by emailing security.officers@canterbury.ac.uk

The main Security control room office is located the foyer of the Anselm building and the Security management team is based in the old International office and in Af11 which is located in the Anselm building.
