Catering
The Catering and Conference and Events teams work closely together to ensure that the diverse needs of our students, staff and visitors are met. The teams look after private dinners, residential and day conferences, exhibitions and award ceremonies, as well as catering for daily hospitality requests across the University
Key Events of 2011
- Catering has achieved re-accreditation of Hospitality Assured, increasing their overall score by 4%
- The opening of the Touchdown Express at University Centre, Folkestone is proving a great success
- CCCU’s largest banquet ever was held for the Canterbury Cultural Awards in Augustine Hall
- Hosted the Vice-Chancellors Installation lunch in Augustine Hall
- Catering is currently working towards the Food for Life Accreditation
- Conference and Events Department is developing a clear and defined strategy to take its business forward
- A brand new website has been launched to promote the new strategy, along with a new Conference and
- Events brochure, Unique Venues in Kent,
- A new direct booking number was launched to make the process easier for our clients (0800 456 1116)
- The Conference and Events team exhibited for the first time at the Kent Conference Exhibition at
- Detling Showground
- The Canterbury Conference and Events office has recently moved to Hall Place, giving CCCU two centra
- Offices, one in Canterbury and one in Salomons, Tunbridge Wells.
- We have raised our total to provide a well on the One Water Scheme and we will soon have the coordinates of its location.
