Notes:
- Any equipment that is used by the Public requires a combined Inspection and test on an annual basis.
- Testing frequency based on information provided by the Institution of Electrical Engineers.
- Microwave leak detection tests are to be carried out annually on all microwave ovens.
- All University owned electrical equipment within Student accommodation will be tested annually.
- The University has a duty to test all portable electrical equipment including items brought on to any campus, which are owned by members of staff.
- Any appliance which does not have any indication of a previous test shall be subjected to a full combined inspection and test, with future tests at the frequency defined above.
