Redevelopment of 41 St George’s Place, Canterbury

The St George’s Centre will be the main hub
for student life and activities, providing services, support and
entertainment to students in comfortable, relaxed and high
quality surroundings that are environmentally sound. The
building has been designed to provide activities and attractions
for a wide variety of students with different ages, programmes
of study, ethnicity and background. It is also intended the new
Union will be the base location for all sports teams. This
£1,500,000 project development is due for completion in
September 2012.
There will be 230 rooms of student
accommodation above and behind the St George’s Students’ Union
facilities, together with courtyards for use by the student
accommodation residents.
