Rochester House is a five storey building situated in Canterbury City centre and consists of 2061 square meters of space. The building occupies a prime site situated between the North Holmes campus Road and Augustine House and is a further prominent CCCU location to promote the work of the University.

The building was developed to be the administrative centre for the University and was completed and occupied in December 2009.

In line with the University’s agreed Estates Strategy the provision of Rochester House afforded the opportunity to decant administrative functions from the North Holmes Road campus, freeing up space for further teaching and academic support activities on the North Holmes Road campus. Rochester House occupation also enabled a rationalisation of other estate buildings.

This move brought together the University support departments and now provides the foundation for more effective and efficient working between key FM resources and other the University support departments including Finance, Human Recourses, Marketing and Quality and Standards.

The fifth floor of Rochester House was developed for Computing Services and Corporate Information Services in the summer of 2011. This enabled the transfer of staff from Tension as part of the Waitrose scheme and contributed to the University's planned estates restoration.
