Business Systems Team

The Business Systems Development Team is responsible for the development of the University's corporate information systems and the production of management information. We offer a wide range of services from second line user support through to the design and development of new bespoke software.

The team:

Designs and develops bespoke Corporate Information Systems where no suitable commercial product exists;
Provides the interfaces between systems;
Maintains an Enterprise Database of key corporate data;
Delivers essential Management Information reports;
Provides bespoke training and consultancy to users of Corporate Information Systems.

Web Applications Team

The Web Applications Team specialises in providing access to Corporate Information via the web.

We develop software, implement and integrate applications from commercial providers and the open source community, and provide support and advice on web applications to other areas in the University.

Amongst other projects, the team:

Developed the StudentNET portal and applications;
Developed the StaffNET portal and applications;
Provided web access to the University knowledgebase;
Integrated to web access to the Sunrise call management system.
