Hardware for Personal Use:
Computing Services cannot advise which computer hardware or software you should purchase for personal use. Refer to this page for the specification of standard equipment used in the University as a guideline. If you are unsure what to purchase, it is worth visiting a specialist independent shop or part of a chain (eg PC World) for advice from their experts.
Under the terms of the
Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC) agreement staff and students can
benefit from competitive prices as offered to the University by SUPC Suppliers.
If staff and students wish to purchase IT equipment and benefit from the
competitive prices negotiated by SUPC they should refer to the
links for suppliers' contact details given below.
You will be provided with a list of SUPC suppliers web site
addresses and contact names. When you contact the supplier
you will need to advise them that you are a member of staff or a student of
Canterbury Christ Church University and that you understand that
under the terms of the SUPC Agreement you should be able to
benefit from the prices negotiated by the University.
