Project Update
The first moved into the building on 7 September 2009. All staff moves will be completed by mid October. Augustine House opened its doors to students on 21 September 2009.
IT Facilities
The building is wireless enabled, allowing both students and staff to access the University’s network via Eduroam. Further details of the wireless network can be found here
148 Student PCs are available, located throughout the student areas of the building. Students are able to access these by logging on in the usual way. In addition, several OPAC machines are situated around the building to allow searching of the library catalogue systems. Height adjustable, Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliant desks are available throughout the student areas for standard PCs and OPACs.
Students will benefit from the new i-borrow scheme. The laptops can be collected from one of the 10 trolleys distributed throughout the building. Once they have been finished with they should be returned the trolley so that they will be charged up ready for the next person to use.
Audio Visual (AV) Equipment
There are 7 bookable group study rooms for students, as well as 3 multipurpose meeting rooms with AV facilities for staff. Each of these are equipped with AV facilities.
In addition, mobile AV units are situated around the building for students to use for small group work. The library checkout desk holds small AV items. These can be booked out as required. The items available for loan are as follows:

Cathedral Court, Medway
Project Update
Cathedral Court opened on 29 June 2009. Health and Wellbeing and Family staff moved into Cathedral Court from both the Canterbury Campus, and Rowan Williams Court.
IT Facilities
As well as the staff offices, Cathedral Court offers a 6 seminar rooms with AV facilities.
There are also 2 student breakout areas with PCs. Each of these areas contain a height adjustable, DDA compliant desk with a PC.
There is also an i-Zone helpdesk, located near to the reception area.
Rochester House
Project Update
A programme of refurbishment work began on 3 August 2009 to convert the former Canterbury College building into offices for approximately 140 staff from various support departments across the University.
We are due to get handover of the building for IT commissioning in late November 2009, with staff moves commencing shortly afterwards.
IT Facilities
In addition to the staff office facilities at Rochester House, there will also be 5 bookable staff meeting rooms on the first floor with AV facilities. This will include a 20 seat IT training room for staff.
