Conditions of Use

booked a minimum of 10 working days in advance of the
requirement and will only be supplied to students and staff of
Canterbury Christ Church University for use directly related to
the University or its business.
Classroom/Lecture Theatre Equipment/Attendance Bookings
All classroom / lecture theatre User Technology attendance
bookings will receive an email acknowledgement by return which
should be checked to ensure that your requirements have been
interpreted correctly. User Technology accept no responsibility
for bookings which have been erroneously made or have incorrect
details and have not been checked.
Bookings may be taken for a Technician to attend a classroom or Lecture Theatre to ensure the smooth running of the equipment; however our hours of work are 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Thursday and 8:30am - 4:30pm Friday. Bookings for User Technology attendance outside these times must be paid for by the Department making the request, as this constitutes overtime and will be charged at the Technician's hourly rate for a minimum of 3 hours.
All classroom/lecture theatre booking cancellations must be made in writing prior to the required date – NOT ON THE DAY. If a cancellation is late (made on the day), or is not made, a charge will be levied for User Technology set-up time lost; subject to a minimum charge of £20 for each instance.
WARNING:
Equipment Loans
1) The borrower MUST return the equipment by the date
arranged, as it is likely to be already booked by another
borrower.
2) There WILL BE a charge or fine for the late return of items, unless a loan extension has been requested and approved at least one working day prior to the end of the loan period. Fines are as follows:
£5.00 for the first day (or part thereof) and £2.50 per day (or part thereof) thereafter; the maximum being to the replacement value of the item borrowed.
This fine will be added to your library record (for students) or re-charged to your department (for staff). All losses and damages MUST be paid for. The borrower remains solely responsible for the equipment loaned which must not be passed to other people for their use under any circumstances. For your own security we suggest that borrowed equipment should be covered by your own insurance.
