The Liaison Team is made up of Senior
Computing Staff and provides an interface between all Faculties,
Departments and Remote Campuses with a prime aim of ensuring that they
fully understand the IT needs of all areas of the University. In
addition to their computing technical skills, the team are experienced
in business change and business processes.
The team acts as a two way feed between Computing Services and
Departments, informing the Computing Services management team of what is
needed and why; assisting all Departments with formal business case
justification where necessary. Additionally, they will inform the
University as a whole about the developing central computing strategy of
the University, helping to enable everyone to take advantage of the new
technology.
The Liaison Team understands and manages the annual Departmental
Computing Budget, supporting Departments in their preparation and
submission, and following approval, the team will manage and deliver any
associated projects, coordinating both computing and non-computing
resource.
This team also looks after, and builds upon existing user documentation
for use of IT systems. It manages the Computing Services Website to
provide online user help relating to all Computing Services activity.
