Referencing and Avoiding Plagiarism

If you want to know why you should reference and how to do it, or if you are worried that you may be plagiarising, resources and workshops are available to help.

These resources and workshops will help to provide answers to your referencing and plagiarism questions, and any other issues connected to this area.

Resources Available

To help you with your studies, we have created learning resources that you can make use of when preparing for your next essay, assignment or exam. The following resources are recommended if you are looking to improve your referencing abilities and to help you avoid plagiarism in your work:

The complete set of resources can be found on Blackboard, under the Student Support tab> Academic Learning Development> Resources> Referencing and plagiarism. Guides to the Harvard referencing system and other systems such as Chicago, MLA, APA and OSCOLA are also available under the Referencing tab on Blackboard.
