Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)

The PTES is the only sector-wide survey of taught postgraduate students' learning and teaching experiences. It is owned and supported by the Higher Education Academy.

It only takes about 10-15 minutes to complete, and the information you give is kept confidential.

This survey is now closed and will reopen in February 2018.

Why PTES matters

PTES enables us to gain insight into the learning and teaching experiences of taught postgraduate students and compare the results with other participating institutions.

Providing your feedback means you can help to make positive changes while you continue with your studies.

As a thank you for taking part there are incentives on offer.

How do I know if I am eligible to complete PTES?

You are eligible for PTES if you:

  • Have received an email from the Student Survey Unit inviting you to take part.
  • Are a taught postgraduate student studying on a Masters, Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma course, on any year of study.

Can I opt out?

You can opt out at any time by contacting the Student Survey Unit directly. You will not receive any further emails or personalised Blackboard messages but will be included in the response rate.

If you have any further questions, please contact the studentsurveyunit@canterbury.ac.uk
