Session times
The Club meets at the following times
- Sundays 5.00 - 7.00 Anselm Hall, off the foyer of the main university buildings on North Holmes Rd (the foyer is just past the Fountain).
- Tuesdays 7.00 - 9.00 Old Sessions House Og12( next to the Prison on the Sandwich Rd)
- Thursdays 7.00 - 9.00 Anselm Hall (see above).
Occasionally, we train in the Augustine Hall next to the Police Station on the ring road, and in the Christ Church Sports Centre next to Barton Court School.
During the vacations, training sessions are more informal.
Although the etiquette is good, the club has a very friendly atmosphere, is socially active and organises activities such as music parties and meals out.
Members of all martial arts associations are welcome to take part in training sessions which involve an even balance of basics, kata (forms) and kumite (sparring). A beginner's course is organised twice yearly, but beginners are welcome at other times and receive special instruction. In order to maintain continuity, the club is open to non-students.
