Negotiation and Mediation skills for executives operating in today's volatile global business environment

Corporate Diplomacy| is a 3-day residential programme at Canterbury Christ Church University in Kent, England.

  • Business leaders and decision makers often come up against different agendas both within and outside their organisation that may delay business performance or jeopardise results
  • The power to influence and negotiate effectively with relevant stakeholders requires strategy and skill particularly when under pressures of time and volatile market conditions
  • This workshop looks at negotiation skills needed for corporate executives and non-private sector officials who operate in a global environment
  • Using Harvard case studies, videos and simulations, participants will learn to identify relevant stakeholders to dispute and devise a negotiation strategy to deal with their concerns
  • Participants will gain insights into both the diplomatic style and the commercial style of dispute resolution that will impact on their own  professional performance and the results of their organisation

Duration: 3 days

Dates: 13 - 15th May 2011 and  24 - 26th June 2011 (each course is limited to 8 participants)

Cost: £3500+VAT (includes bed & breakfast at the 4-star Abode Hotel, lunches and an evening dinner at the award winning restaurant of 2-star Michelin chef Michael Caines with the keynote speaker, Sir Stephen Brown KCVO, Former UK Ambassador to North Korea, High Commissioner to Singapore and Group CEO of UK Trade and Invest).

Certification: Participants will be given a certificate from Canterbury Christ Church University Law School

Solicitors will earn 16 CPD points from the Law Society
