RESEARCH, CONSULTANCY & PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

Research Interests:
My main research interest is in Restorative Justice. Recent research includes a qualitative study of young offenders undergoing a restorative approach to offending. I am currently part of a Canterbury Christ Church research team working on a research project evaluating Victim-offender Mediation in prisons for serious adult offenders and their victims. This project is Nuffield funded and involves close collaboration with local Mediators, Probation and Prison Services.  I am also working closely with the Law programme developing teaching and research projects involving the Mediation Clinic at CCCU.

Related research interests include Youth Crime and Justice, Victims and Victimology, the relationship between Theory, Policy and Practice in Criminology, Qualitative Research Methods, Race and Ethnic Identity and the Policy and Politics of Criminal Justice.

PhD Supervision
I am happy to receive enquiries for PhD supervision in any of the above areas of study
