Senior Lecturer and a programme director in Computing, Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences, Canterbury Christ Church University (Appointed September 2000)

Present Position:

I have been responsible for the coordinating of academic activities and the management of the Foundation Degree in Computing since 2006. The Foundation Degree in Computing is a two year programme with an eight weeks industrial placement in the computer industry. This involves dealing with student issues including attendance, concessions cases, assignment management and examinations. I also coordinate and liaise with partner institutions (Thanet College and South Kent College) that franchises and run our courses. I act as team leader and chair meetings of the Programme Committee. I play a leading role in curriculum design, including writing and presenting validation documents and am also responsible for quality assurance within the framework, producing an annual report. I have been member of the teaching team for the following programmes:
