Daniel Salter PhD, DClinPsy, C.Psychol, AFBPsS is a Clinical & Academic Tutor at Salomons. His first degree was in Chemistry with Management Studies after which he worked in industry for four years before returning to academia to study Psychology at Goldsmiths College, London University. After graduating Daniel joined a Department of Health funded research team at the Institute of Child Health, part of UCL, where he gained his PhD. He qualified as a clinical psychologist at Sheffield University in 2003, after which he was a lecturer in Clinical Psychology at Leeds University for nearly three years.
Daniel has published research investigating the continuity between childhood victimisation and subsequent perpetration of sexual abuse, but has more recently focussed on the prediction of persistent PTSD symptoms in NHS staff exposed to aggression in the workplace. His clinical work has been with working age adults and his preferred model of working is within a Cognitive Behavioural framework.
