Welcome to our CBT at Canterbury Christ Church University Newsletter website.
With our cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) programmes we aim to train professionals to become effective and efficient cognitive behaviour therapists. Cognitive behaviour therapy has come a long way. It has been a long and winding road, from it's humble beginnings as the 'underdog' therapy to it's current position as the recommended treatment of choice for many psychological problems. No other form of psychotherapy has produced so many evidence based models that explain variations of human suffering and has produced so much research demonstrating the effectiveness of CBT in alleviating suffering.
The main aim of this newsletter is be a communication channel between the CBT team and those with an interest in CBT training. This of course includes current, past and future students. We welcome contributions from everyone with an interest in CBT. Personal experiences with (learning) CBT, brief case/intervention vignettes etc. Are all welcome contributions.
