At Salomons Centre for Applied Psychology we seek to make a significant contribution to the development and delivery of health and social care services through the application of psychological research and understanding.
The range of our work covers accredited postgraduate programmes, applied research, knowledge transfer, professional practice and consultancy. These activities address a broad range of key areas within applied psychology, psychological therapies, policy support and both service and organisational development.
Alongside our well established professional doctorate in Clinical Psychology, we also run a successful PhD in Professional Practice as well as a range of other postgraduate programmes and short courses.
We also provide training for the improving access to psychological therapies initiative (IAPT) and a practice improvement programme for child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS). In collaboration with other University departments we are playing an increasing role in extending the contribution of the arts to health care.
