Profile summary

I am senior lecturer and director of the postgraduate taught provision at the Department of Law and Criminal Justice Studies. My research interests include domestic violence and individuals’ relationship with the justice system. I am also interested in law enforcement and transnational cooperation, having been invited to develop research for and present at conferences organised by Europol.

I am programme director for the MSc in Policing, with the Police Academy of the Netherlands. I am Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and have developed and consolidated the Department’s postgraduate profile, both with the creation of new programmes and the renewal of existing ones.

I joined Canterbury Christ Church University in 2005 and have since contributed for different programmes, including Applied Criminology, Legal Studies, Police Studies and Policing. I contribute to a variety of modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I also supervise postgraduate and undergraduate students for their dissertations.
