'COAST' Amanda Thompson
Sat 10th Nov - Sat 8 December
Amanda Thompson will be showing a series of paintings inspired by the coast line between Dover Harbour and Deal Pier. Using an element of chance in her work, Thompson explores abstract mark making and figurative imagery that recurs in her journey through the Kent coastline. There is a vibrancy of colour and mark making that tracks each season she explores.

Amanda Thompson invites the public to come and draw boats and seascapes on large pieces of paper in the gallery. She will use these drawings as studies for a painting that she will make in situ in the gallery. All ages welcome. FREE EVENT.

Ma Degree show

This exhibition is the opportunity for the public to see the showcase work of students from the MA Fine Art degree at Canterbury Christ Church University. Each year the quality and diversity of work produced from this postgraduate course is of a very high quality.
1st and 2nd Year Show: 'New Beginnings'

After the runaway success of last years show by popular demand we are bringing back the students from 'Summer Splash 2006', who are now in the 2nd year of their undergraduate Fine Art Degree course at Canterbury Christ Church University. Together with 1st year students from the same course, the exhibition will be a vibrant collection of mixed media works.
PGCE Show: 'Those That Can, Will'

This exhibition brings together the work of training PGCE Secondary Education Art and Design teachers and Design and Technology teachers with the work of their pupils.
Ba Degree Show Part Two:
'Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking and Ceramics'

The second two weeks of the exhibition showcases a selection of work
from all four disciplines. This exhibition will celebrate the scope of work
produced by the undergraduate students and for each individual it marks the
culmination of three years hard work.
