Following the introduction of the Regulation and Credit Framework for the Conferment of Awards, the terms 'Protocols' and 'Conventions' will no longer be in use.
Regulations - regulatory material
Protocols - a procedure relating to the management and operation of a Scheme, and having no regulatory force. A scheme protocol cannot over-ride a regulation.
Special Regulation - a regulation that is approved to extend or to vary a regulation to meet programme requirements.
The following documents set out the rules pertaining to the University's Schemes. They are to be addressed in the validation of programmes where appropriate, together with their presentation to students.
