Carbon Counter
The University is committed to reducing its
carbon footprint and has identified that parts of its Estate are
large consumers of electricity and gas. On analysis, it is only
a small amount of buildings, some 15, that produce nearly 80% of
our Scope 1 (Gas) and 2
(Electricity) carbon emissions.
We have targeted these sites with Operation
and Optimisation
meetings to engage with building management, analyse consumption data, check building usage, adjust BMS
controls and identify/implement energy saving opportunities.
Calendar of Operation and Optimisation meetings
The Carbon Counter has been produced to
show all building users of the current and historic consumption
at their particular site, what has been done and what is to be
done to continually lower emissions.

The results from the top
15 sites are available below and will be updated quarterly.
These will
also be sent to Building Wardens and can be utilised by Green Impact Teams and Environmental Champions.
