As the debate on Europe still dominates the political, and media, agenda Professor Tim Bale, Chair in Politics at Queen Mary University of London, will visit on Thursday to discuss the Conservative Party, coalition politics and Euroscepticism.
Dr John Fitzgibbon, Lecturer in Politics at Christ Church will also be taking part in the debate, with the discussion chaired by Dr Mark Bennister, Senior Lecturer in Politics for the University.
Professor Tim Bale works on all aspects of party politics in Britain, Europe and sometimes further afield. As well as his ongoing interest in the Conservatives and centre-right parties more generally, current projects include the following: the relationship between parties and interest groups; the party politics of immigration; and the British Labour Party after Blair.
