University Centre Folkestone (UCF) will host a workshop on Wednesday, 15 February to help writers explore the subject of urban regeneration.
‘Writers and Regeneration: Getting Started’ will be led by Sarah Butler, writer and creative projects manager and director of Urban Words.
Sarah has been working as a writer and project manager on literature development projects since 2000, and has worked with local authorities and charities, including a commission by Bexley Arts Department to co-write a public art strategy for the regeneration area in Lower Belvedere, South East London; managing a public art and community engagement programme in South Kilburn and being Writer-in-Residence for London Underground helping to engage creatively with staff along the length of the Central line.
The workshop will be of interest to anyone working in the field of community arts and regeneration projects or practising writers looking for further outlets for their work.
