Senior Lecturer to receive Education Award
15 January 2016
Jane Arnott, Senior Lecturer in the School of Public Health, Midwifery and Social Work, has been selected to receive an award from Health Education England (Kent, Surrey and Sussex) (HEKSS) for her work in the field of General Practice education, having been unanimously nominated by her colleagues.
Dr Hilary Diack, Head of Primary and Community Care Education at HEKSS expressed her appreciation of Jane’s enthusiasm, dedication and hard work in the field of General Practice education.
Jane became one of the five programme directors for GP education in East Kent in September 2008. She is responsible for the organisation and teaching of the widely-successful four-month Clinical Leadership in Commissioning rotation, and also holds pastoral responsibility for trainees and is responsible for the rotation allocations. This role has given Jane many opportunities to network across the health and social care economy in the region, bringing added value to both GP education and Jane’s teaching at Canterbury Christ Church University.
Jane will receive her award at the Annual GP Conference on 10th March 2016.
