Green Party Parliamentary Candidate to speak at University
11 March 2015
The next public lecture in the Making Politics Matter series at Canterbury Christ Church University continues on 17 March with Green Party Parliamentary Candidate for Canterbury and Whitstable, Stuart Jeffery speaking.
Mr Jeffery will be giving a talk entitled Why Canterbury needs a Green MP as part of the Politics and International Relations Meet the Candidates sessions in the lead up to the General Election 2015.
Working within the NHS, Mr Jeffery is keen to champion ethical living where possible. He belongs to the Chair of Kent Green Party, is the Green Party’s national spokesperson for health and is a member of the Keep Our NHS Public campaign’s steering committee.
The session will open with Mr Jeffery exploring his views on how he thinks the Canterbury and Whitstable area will benefit if he is voted into Parliament this May. Questions from the audience will then commence as the second part of the session allowing the local community to contest or support his views.
Why Canterbury needs a liberal MP will be held in The Old Sessions House building at Canterbury Christ Church University on Tuesday 17 March at 7pm. The event is free and open to the public.
