Welcome to Christ Church
Welcome to Canterbury Christ Church University. Thank you for choosing us and congratulations on securing your place - you have made a great decision.
As Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education and Student Experience), I have specific responsibility for ensuring you have access to the support and resources you need to realise your potential.
We have an extensive range of courses delivered at a number of locations. Our vibrant and diverse student body mirrors our academic offer. Many of you will be joining us straight from school or college, whilst others will have taken the decision to come into higher education after a break. Many students will be studying alongside work and or family commitments. Whatever journey you have taken prior to joining us, I encourage you to get involved and make the most of your time with us.
Christ Church takes pride in its friendly learning community and, as such, we understand that the time before you arrive can be both exciting and daunting. We want you to feel supported and well prepared and these webpages have been created to do just that. Your access to information, support and guidance starts now. Please take time to browse the variety of opportunities available to help develop your learning and enhance your personal and professional development. For example, have you considered volunteering as a way to give back to the local community whilst learning valuable skills to boost your self-confidence and future employability? Of course, many of the opportunities on offer, especially in the first weeks, will also enable you to have fun and develop new friendships - some which may well last a lifetime. The events pages will be regularly updated, so please come back regularly to see what's on offer.
If you have any specific questions, worries or concerns, please get in touch with the i-zone, our student information team, who are always here to help.
I wish you every success as you take your final important steps toward becoming a Christ Church student.
Professor Helen James
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education and Student Experience)
