Registering as a student

Registration is the process that all students must go through to become a Canterbury Christ Church University student, enabling you to successfully begin your studies.

We offer a wide range of courses that have different starting points throughout the year and due to this there are two main ways in which students become registered.

All students must complete pre-registration online which enables us to prepare for your arrival. Pre-registration is completed by creating an account with us and then accessing the student portal.

Registration events take place throughout the year. You will be invited to attend the relevant registration event for your particular course in advance, usually by letter. Your invite will also include the time, date and location of your registration event and any specific documentation you must bring with you.

Your student smartcard is your personal University student ID card allowing you access to a range of student services whether you study on campus or at another institution.

To get a card go to the 'Get Your Smartcard' Tile in your Portal.  You will need to upload a photo of yourself, this will then be printed on your Smartcard and you will collect the Smartcard at your registration event.

Requirements Relating to Student Registration
