Do you have any overdue loans?
Overdue items deprive other users of access to resources essential to their work and hamper the delivery of a quality library service. As a result of problems experienced at CCCU, there is an automatic suspension of library privileges for users with significantly overdue items. This suspension applies to borrowing library material and to access to electronic resources via e-Library.
Anyone with significantly overdue items will have their library privileges suspended 7 days after the third and final overdue notice is sent to their University e-mail account. Fines will accrue on items as normal and the suspension will remain in place until all overdue items are returned.
Once all items are returned and fines paid, normal borrowing rights will shortly be reinstated providing there are no other blocks on your library account. However please note that the reinstatement of e-Library access rights will take place overnight.
Library accounts can also be blocked if monies are owed to the University Finance department for course or accommodation fees, or if library charges in excess of £10 have been accrued. Once any such debts have been cleared, library accounts are reactivated.
Please check your library account via the library catalogue regularly and ensure that your items are renewed or returned in time. It is also a good idea to check your University e-mail account regularly for messages from Library Services.
