Renewals
With the exception of Short Loan items, loans may be renewed up to SIX times using one of the following methods:
- from the Library catalogue under 'User Info'. (You will need to "log-in" first using your Student/Staff ID number and PIN). For a detailed explanation on how to renew via the library catalogue see the renewal guide.
- by telephone
- using the self-issue machines
- by bringing items for renewal to the Issue Desk (at campus libraries other than Canterbury)
It is important that all loans are renewed on or before the due date as there are occasions when renewals are not possible, for example if another reader has placed a hold on the item.
If you are not able to renew your loans, please make sure you return them by the due date to avoid fines.
Courtesy notices
To help you manage your library loans, the Library sends you a reminder notice shortly before a loan is due to be returned. The notices are sent by email to your CCCU account. We cannot guarantee that you will receive these notices, so you should not rely on them to remind you when your loans are due for return.
You are responsible for returning or renewing your loans on time and non-receipt of a courtesy notice is not an acceptable reason to dispute any fines you may incur.
You should log in to your Library account regularly to check your loans.
