External library membership
Information for applicants
Library resources are primarily intended to support University staff and students. External library membership provides limited access to some library collections. Please see borrowing information.
How do I apply?
Please download, complete and print out the form and take to the appropriate campus library with proof of ID and proof of address (2 separate items) and payment if required.
N.B. Applicants applying under the SCONUL Access scheme need to produce a valid SCONUL Access card together with their University Student ID card.
Note that membership is only available on an individual personal user basis. Corporate or organisational membership is not available.
Current fee, including VAT: Full: £100 per annum Reduced rate: £75 per annum
Please note this fee does not include any access to computers or online resources.

Payment details (if applicable)
Payment must be made at the time of application. Library Services accepts payment by cash, cheque or debit/credit card. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Canterbury Christ Church University’.
Collection of library card
Library cards will be available within 7 days of application and you will be notified of this by email or phone. The card may be collected in person during staffed hours at the campus library, on presentation of photographic ID.
Library Services reserves the right to decline an application.
