Library Services

Disabled users

Welcome to the Library Services web page for disabled users

We aim to support all staff and students in making good use of library services and resources and are constantly reviewing the services we provide for disabled users. If you have any comments or suggestions about possible improvements please let us know by contacting us.

  • help using the library catalogue
  • help getting material from the shelves
  • proxy borrowing - if you want to borrow items but are unable to come in. We will accept a  friend using your ticket as long as you write a letter of authorisation for this
  • extended loan periods for some users. Please contact the disability and equal opportunities advisor Margaret Scott regarding eligibility for extended loans
  • height adjustable desks
