What we do

We lead on the University’s commitment to educating the whole person, through developing excellence in learning and teaching, carrying out a wide range of student engagement projects  and supporting our growing use of learning technology.

Learning and Teaching Strategy (LTS)

Learning Teaching and Enhancement lead on the delivery of the LTS (2015-2020) across the university. We aim to develop a vibrant learning community of staff and students through a series of initiatives and events every year.

Student engagement projects

We work to create an environment rich in opportunities to succeed at University, develop as a whole person and prepare for success beyond graduation. Ongoing projects include Partners in Learning, the Pre-arrival Portal and recording student achievments.

The University's Graduate Attributes Statement and set of associated Graduate Attributes. These aim to articulate what a student, who engages with the opportunities available, will develop during their time at CCCU.

Policies and Resources

Policies, strategies and general resources to support many aspects of teaching, learning, assessment and student engagement, including learning technology, personal academic tutoring and the Assessment Handbook.

In recognition of the importance of Learning and Teaching, we award annually University Teaching Excellence Awards and support staff to apply for National Teaching Fellowships. There are four individual Awards and one team award available. Find out what’s involved and how to apply

We encourage staff and collaborative partners to work with us, to improve the student experience through learning and teaching initiatives. Each Faculty has their own Faculty Director of Learning and Teaching, to work with staff teams.
