The Academic Professional Development Framework supports the development of outstanding learning, teaching and assessment practices through a range of enhancement activities which encourage scholarship and engagement with research in Higher Education.
A taught route offering a fresh and innovative approach to teaching and enhancing learning, with a chance to carry out a small piece of educational research. Completion also gives full Fellowship (HEA).
The Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP)
An introduction to the basics of excellent teaching, learning and assessment providing the skills and confidence for academic practice. Completion also gives Associate Fellowship (HEA).
The University Certificate in Academic Practice (UCAP)
The University is accredited to award Associate, Fellow and Senior fellowships of the HEA and provides support for staff wanting to prepare submissions for recognition and award.
