Canterbury Christ Church University is a welcoming and dynamic university that currently has over 16,000 students enrolled on its programmes. The International community is drawn from over 80 countries. As well as having international students participating on a wide variety of degree programmes across the five faculties the University also hosts international students on English language preparation courses, Erasmus exchange programmes and USA Study Abroad programmes.
Canterbury Christ Church University is positioned very close to mainland Europe, offering easy access by train to Paris, Brussels and London. The University is actively developing links with Higher Education Institutions in Northern France and has already developed academic links with higher Education institutions in Mexico, Japan, China and India as well as a number of other countries.

The International Office helps organizes induction programmes for all students including groups and processes all international and EU student applications for admission to programmes (except for professional Health and Education training programmes).
Many international students join the University for three or four-year degree programmes whilst others come for a one-year postgraduate course or for shorter periods
As well as having internationally minded support staff in the International Office to help international students with their study visit, a significant number of the University's academic staff have international skills in teaching and research and undertake overseas teaching assignments and consultancies.
