Background: Kent and Canterbury School of Nursing, Canterbury: qualified 1986.
Educational Career: I came to Canterbury Christ Church University in September 1997 as a Nurse Fellow with active links to District Nursing practice. I was involved in curriculum planning for the Graduate Apprenticeship Scheme in care sector management. I have been involved in development of the current IPL programme and teach health and social care professional students on pre and post registration programmes.
I am academic co-ordinator for Nursing and Applied Clinical Studies at the Broadstairs Campus.
Key areas of Interest: Tissue viability and wound care, Primary care and public health, supporting learning in practice.
Research: I am currently involved in a research project into wound maceration in conjunction with colleagues from Canterbury Christ Church University, clinical practice and the private sector.
