Sarah is a Senior Lecturer who is currently the programme director for Independent and Supplementary prescribing for Nurses and Midwives and supplementary prescribing for Allied Health professionals. She currently participates in teaching on the BSc Community Specialist Practice and Adult Nursing pathway of the IPL.
Sarah has been registered as a first level nurse since 1983 and has worked as a district nurse for 7 years, before leaving clinical practice in 1996. Before moving into education in 2004 Sarah has worked on many projects in primary care including the introduction of NHS continuing care across Kent and Medway. Other aspects of work include team management and project management.
Sarah is interested in the development of non medical prescribing, advanced nursing practice and leadership development for nurses.
