Staff profile

Commenced my nursing in 1996 at Christ Church and since qualifying in 1999, have worked predominately within the A&E environment.  Became an emergency nurse practitioner in 2001 at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital and assisted in the smooth transition from A&E services to Minor Injuries/Illness services when the Hospital downgraded. Moved to QEQM A&E department 3 years ago where I continue to work as a Senior Nurse Practitioner and for the last 18 months I have also worked as a face to face Nurse Practitioner for SEH PCT out of hours service.

I have a degree in Advanced Practice and have almost completed my MSc in Inter-professional Health & Social Care. In addition to this I completed my Independent Prescribing qualification at MSc level 4 years ago at Greenwich School of Pharmacy. I am also currently undertaking my PGCLT.

I currently work on a 0.6 contract to allow for my time in practice to continue. Two days a week I am employed in a lecturing capacity and one day per week I work within the placement capacity building area of the nursing
