I undertook my Diploma in Nursing at the Frances Harrison College of Health Care, part of the University of Surrey, qualifying in 1995. Since qualifying I've worked in various clinical posts within Cancer Care and in 2003 took a Lecturer Practitioner post at CCCU focusing on cancer care, becoming full time in 2004. I received my Masters Degree in Advanced Practice (Cancer Nursing) from the University of Surrey in 2004 and I have completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching.

I am the endorsement lead for Cancer Care within the Continuing Professional Development programme and the Year 3 Lead for the IPL Prequalification programme. I run modules, across all academic levels, focusing on varying aspects of cancer, palliative and supportive care. I am an external examiner for the Post Registration Adult Nursing Programme at The Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery, King College London.    

I am a reviewer for the European Journal of Oncology Nursing, and Cancer Nursing Practice. I also work on many practice development projects with providers of cancer care throughout Kent and Medway.
